3/2/2006 - Vote 29: H R 3199 He voted YES to a reauthorized, slightly modified version of the 2001 USA Patriot Act. 6/22/2006 - Vote 181: S 2766 This amendment to the annual defense appropriations bill would have set a firm deadline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. (He voted NO to this amendment, by the way.) 3/29/2007 - Vote 126: HR 1592 He voted YES to a $122 billion war funding bill. 4/26/2007 - Vote 147: HR 1591 He voted YES to a $124.2 billion Iraq and Afghanistan war bill. Once elected to the Senate, Obama voted for a series of war funding measures. This last one is for fun to show that Obama really is a true patriot. He voted NO to the following bill: 6/27/2006 - Vote 189: S J RES 12 This vote would have given Senate approval to a proposed constitutional amendment that would give Congress the authority to ban 'desecration of the American flag.'
